Where to obtain Original D&D (OD&D) and Holmes Basic rulesets?

- Supplement 1 - Greyhawk
- Supplement 2 - Blackmoor
- Supplement 3 - Eldritch Wizardry
- Supplement 4 - Gods, Demi-gods & Heros

- How to print the OD&D booklets
- Philotimy's OD&D Musings - Very useful!

Holmes
- Official Materials
- For some reason WotC has not released the Holmes Edition of D&D on dmsguild.com like other D&D books.
- Retro-clones - Note that the combat system used is usually not based on Chainmail.
- Blueholmes - probably the most popular Holmes era retro-clone. A free version of the basic rules can be obtained from drivethrurpg.com.
- Holmes '77 - a straight - no frills - retro-clone.
OD&D Derivatives
- Empire of the Petal Throne - Produced by TSR in 1975, it is a direct descendant of D&D and Blackmoor rules. It is neat to see how they modified the OD&D ruleset for their own use.
- Warlock
- Tunnels & Trolls
- Arduin Grimoire Trilogy - PDF's - Print Books
Magazines
- OD&D Related
- Best of Dragon Magazine Volume 1 - This is the best OD&D articles of Strategic Review, and Dragon Vol 1 & 2. Lots of great stuff here.
- Alarums & Excursions - still in print!
